Why Do People Struggle Getting Sleep?

I think most of you will agree, when you don’t get enough zzz’s, you are pretty miserable and agitated. There seems to be this mindset that sleeping may be a waste of time and that there are too many things to accomplish before the day is over. Nothing else matters in life if you are not getting 7-9 hours of quality sleep. A disruption in your circadian rhythm is linked to many of the chronic diseases that people are suffering from today. Shift your mindset to realize that your body is doing amazing things while you’re sleeping.

Why Is Sleep So Important?

Sleep is restorative and helps cleanse the body and the brain. While you are sleeping the body is able to get rid of beta-amyloid, which is linked to Alzheimer’s disease. Sleeping also helps regulate your hormones and strengthens your immune system.
